2009 Parapsychological Association Convention

The Parapsychological Association, Inc will hold it annual convention at Kane Hall University of Washington Campus
in Seattle, Washington. The conference will begin Thursday, August 6th and end Sunday, August 9th.

The convention is an annual gathering of scientists and scholars engaged in the study of psychic phenomenon, such as telepathy, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, psychic healing, and precognition. The PA conventions is open to the public with registration available online and at the start of the event.

Donald Hoffman, Professor of Cognitive Sciences at the University of California, Irvine and author of the book Visual Intelligence: How We Create What We See, will be the banquet speaker on Saturday night. His talk entitled “Consciousness and the interface theory of perception” will present a non-materialist solution to the mind-body problem. Banquet tickets are limited, but still available.

Whales In Space requested press access to the event to cover the convention, but we were told they “don’t offer press passes to bloggers”.
