No, not the reports of some weird Google Earth Maps that proves that UFOs are over Australia, I mean the John Lenard Walson stories from the past year and half.

Dating back to March of 2007 (from what I can tell) the internet has been bouncing around reports from amateur astronomer John Lenard Walson who claims to have devised an “apparatus” composed of a common CCD camcorder and a commercial grade telescope that is capable of zooming and focusing in on deep space objects (which appear to the naked eye as regular stars) in such a way, that their shape and structure becomes clearly visible.

Jeff Rense of www.rense.com claims to have some exclusive rights to the pictures, but they are other places online besides his pages.

Wired has a interesting blog titled The Next President Will Be Forced to Disclose the Truth About UFOs giving some quick details on Stephen Bassett and his group that was formed to force the US gov to give up the goods on UFOs, The Paradigm Research Group (PRG).

Bassett has been active at this stuff for a bit, having formed the Extraterrestrial Phenomena Political Action Committee (X-PPAC) in the late 1990s and now with the PRG, an organization dedicated to ending the “government imposed Truth Embargo regarding an extraterrestrial presence engaging the human race”, and has gotten some main stream press, including some CNN.

For the record, I will not be surprised in anyway if UFOs do not make an appearance over Alabama on October 14th, 2008.

I have heard a lot of prediction, I have witnessed a lot of hype regarding things of this nature and I have never known one as specific as this one to take place.

December 31st 1999 came and went and our world wasn’t torn apart by social upheaval or our computers having to switch the year from 99 to 2000. May 5th 2000 didn’t result in tidal waves and earth quakes brought on a seldom occurring lining up of planets, moons and such. No more serious terrorist attacks happened on US soil in the months after September 11th, poisoning our food supply or detonating dirty nukes in our cities. The list could go on.

And to add to this skeptic nature, we recently had the RickMat - Biscardi Bigfoot Conference, in August of this year. The truth and motives behind what happened with that whole thing may never be known. What is known is that it served to divide the believers from the non-believers even further and even divide rival Bigfoot groups, who it would seem, would have the same goal, some mainstream explanation for what they are so passionate about?

So why believe Blossom Goodchild and the host of other channels, psychics, and assorted weirdoes who have spoken out in support of her prediction? Why do we care? I think the fact that she gave a hard date and location (even if she has backed down from the Alabama part since then) has grabbed the attention and imagination of common folks, religious zealots, UFO believers, paranormal doubters and anyone else. I do find it odd that so many channelers, psychics and extraterrestrial contactees have joined in with Goodchild’s prediction. These folks are usually competed for the same attention and the first to throw each other under the bus when they perceive one to overstep their boundaries and say something overly controversial or give a hard prediction. Regardless of the end result, the October 14th prediction appears to be different in that nature already.

Wide spread UFO sighting have occurred before. In April of 1897, people and newspapers alike reported UFOs in the sky over the West Coast, Midwest, Texas, and South East for weeks.
The Chicago Tribune and Chicago Record ran stories from April 2nd to the 13th, reporting lights, and ‘giant airship, steel body” blinking lights at least 4 years before the Wright Brothers had success with their glider in Kitty Hawk. There was reports of a crash in Aurora, Texas on April 17th.

Could we be looking at something like that again starting October 14th? Over the sky of Alabama no less? Does that validate Goodchild and the like?

I guess we will know better on October 15th. I am looking forward to it.

Suzanne (Suzy) Ward of The Mathew Books gets messages and information about spirituality and metaphysics from her son who died in 1980. On August 29th, Mathew “asked my good friend Hatonn, who is an intergalactic fleet commander, to reply” concerning the October 14th UFO predictions.

HATONN: Thank you, Matthew, and good evening, Suzy and readers. I’m here at Matthew’s request to comment on the veracity of what some consider a “prediction” instead of the announcement it is. Yes, plans are in place for a ship of much greater size than any previous sightings to appear on that date and be evident in your skies for a few days. The crew is in readiness and excited about making our presence indisputable.

Now I add this caveat: Nothing is set in stone. If there are cogent reasons to delay the ship’s appearance, then it will show itself when safety is assured for you on the ground and your aircraft in the skies. Bellicose forces on the planet don’t want you to have proof that we are this close by, or even exist, and they will try to keep this from you by whatever means they think necessary. So the decisive factor of timing is safety all the way around.

Do not doubt that we are close by, millions and millions of us, but of course not all of us will land on your planet when the time comes for that. Most of us work out of your visual range and must remain that way to continue the service we’ve been providing beloved Earth so she can keep steadily climbing toward her plane of planetary origination in fifth density. We all come in peace, and we anticipate that most of you will welcome us and our technological assistance.

That should dispel any doubts as to the October 14 plan being truthful information, but I add to what Matthew and other messengers tell you through their receivers—go within for answers and trust your intuition! Thank you, Suzy, and good night.

The October 14th UFO watch is spreading like wildfire.

10-14-08.blogspot.com has their own twist, with info from Susan Leland who channels Ashtar of the Galactic Command and says “now” a lot.

Here they claim to have a “Major Announcement from Ashtar regarding October 14 sighting”. Their details include a bunch of smaller ships around the large one and some vague info about the event happening ‘anytime now’, whenever that is.

Brad Johnson of 10-14-08.blogspot.com encourages us all carry cameras and be ready for UFOs to appear.

As we previously reported, the Northern Territory Australia is having a serious UFO Flap. Well there are more sightings from some local Aussies and European backpackers who saw strange lights in the sky recently.
Ray Aylett, Normie Hooker and Alan “Doc” McIntosh all reported seeing lights in the sky while sitting outside over Muckaty Station. www.ntnews.com.au covers the sightings in the report by Matt Cunningham from September 24th, 2008.
It has become common place to the point that one Pine Gap resident I spoke with said “OutBack Australia has always been good for UFO sightings - I was really heavily involved with it for some time including expression on the public scene but dont worry about it or follow the excitement to any large degree any more.”

But its even a stretch to call it a UFO, unless maybe the ‘F’ stands for floating or flashing.

Astronomers observed the unidentified object appear and then disappear over a 200 day period, estimating the distance between 130 light-years and 11 billion light-years away.
From the light it gave off, they have ruled out galaxy, supernova, and everything they have on record.
Flat out, they don’t know what it was/is.
“The shape of the light curve is inconsistent with microlensing. In addition to being inconsistent with all known supernova types, is not matched to any spectrum in the Sloan Digital Sky Survey database.”

“We suggest that the transient may be one of a new class” is the conclusion of the report.

Blossom Goodchild, an Aussie actress and author, has gotten peoples attention with a prediction that the ‘The Federation of Light’ will be hovering over Alabama within a 72 hour period of October 14th, 2008. These aliens will be hanging around long enough, in their massive extraterrestrial spacecraft, to be seen and photographed by the media and the rest of Alabama, therefore proving the existence of extraterrestrials.

I guess we’ll see.  I can’t wait.

I moved to Thurston County in Washington State in 1984 and I remember seeing hand made poster at the laundry mat in Yelm warning people of animal mutilations, strange lights in the sky, and missing animals.

I am looking for any information anyone might have regarding this.

Any UFO sightings, missing animals, unusual livestock stories.
