More Lights Over UK: Castle Eaton, Cricklade, Swindon, and South Cerney

From 6.30pm to 9.30pm on Thursday February 26th, 2009 multiple witnesses reported strange lights in the sky over the areas of Castle Eaton, Cricklade, Swindon, and South Cerney UK.

Chris Williams, from the Swindon UFO Research group, has been collecting the reports. Most describe ‘dancing’ lights on clouds and a gathering at the near by Cirencester College has been sited as a possible source of the lights.

It seems unlikely to me that multiple witnesses would be unable to identify bright lights from a local college and descriptions like “Sometimes there were two or three and at most four. They looked like bright stars.” and “At first I thought it was a high powered light beam, but then I realized that the lights were darting in and out of the clouds and no visible sign of a light beam.” don’t sound like lights being projected from below.

  1. Both my husband, son and I witnessed a similar number of ‘lights’ yesterday evening around 7pm over West Swindon. A neighbour also saw them. Did anyone else see anything? We watched for at least half an hour whilst these lights were darting around the sky extremely rapidly, whizzing.

  2. You must see this dancing light UFO video from Thailand. It might relate to your sightings and add a little international context. I posted it on Youtube the morning after the event mid Dec 2010 entitled:
