The Legend Of Boggy Creek Redux

Fangoria is reporting (and if we can’t trust Fangoria, who can we trust?) that deep in bowels of Hollyweird, a remake of the classic sasquatchploitation film, the 1972 uber low budget The Legend Of Boggy Creek is in the works.

The Legend of Boggy Creek is a 1972 docudrama about the “Fouke Monster”, a Bigfoot-type creature that has been seen in and around Fouke, Arkansas. Charles B. Pierce, an ad salesman from Texarkana borrowed $160,000 from a trucking company to make the movie, that was a drive-in hit and launched a trend in movie making that can best be called sasquatchploitation.

According to Fangoria’s sources, the new movie is currently casting, and plans are to shoot the movie in Texas.

I know a band who would really like to work on the sound track.
