Massive Fireball Explodes Over Chelyabinsk Russia

A massive object, thought to be a 55 foot wide and 10,000 ton asteroid, exploded with the force of 500 kilotons of TNT over the central Russian city of Chelyabinsk on February 15th 2013. The explosion was about 30 times the power of the atomic bomb detonated over Hiroshima in 1945.

Thousands have been reported injured as the explosion blew out windows, knocked down building and spread destruction across Chelyabinsk and the surrounding area.

A twenty foot hole was found about 60 miles from Chelyabinsk where it is believed a chunk of the object landed.

NASA is claiming that 2012 DA14 was “a completely unrelated object,” based on data from the trajectory of the object, as it passed with in 17,200 miles of the Earth the same day.

Another object was seen 8 p.m. Friday night throughout the Bay Area in California. An astronomer with the Chabot Space and Science Center in Oakland, said that it appears that the three objects seen Friday are unrelated.

Could the Russian have shot down the object over Chelyabinsk trying to prevent further destruction from the object hitting the ground?

The theory appears to have originated from the Znak newspaper, which quoted an anonymous “military source” who claimed that the object was intercepted by an air defense unit from Urzhumka near Chelyabinsk.

UFOs And Russian Bigfoot Bones

It might be from www.allnewsweb.com, but I first saw this story on Bigfoot Lunch Club.

The story goes that on July 13 several students on an expedition to find evidence of Bigfoot saw a UFO while digging for what they believe were Bigfoot bones in the Kuzbass region of Kemerovo Province in Russia.

And there is video!

So is there a correspond between Bigfoot and UFOs?

One of my favorite Bigfoot resources, the Bigfoot Casebook (I highly recommend), has an entire chapter documenting UFOs sightings that correspond to Bigfoot encounters. While most ‘nuts and bolts’ Bigfoot hunters want to lean away from any paranormal association with Bigfoot, we acknowledge ‘the weird’ that too often accompanies Bigfoot sightings, with out getting all ‘airy fairy’ about any relationship between Bigfoot and the supernatural. We classify all the unknown and weird into the ‘paranormal Fortean phenomenon and ultraterrestrial activities’ category.

Buy us a drink some time and we’ll try to explain.

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, Governor of Russian Republic Kalmykia, Was Abducted By Aliens

Kirsan Ilyumzhinov, the governor of Kalmykia, told a Russian TV program he was abducted by aliens who visited him in his apartment on September 18, 1997. Ilyumzhinov is also the former president of the World Chess Federation.

The aliens contacted the Governor telepathically.

Ilyumzhinov claims that the aliens did not make themselves known to the rest of the world because they were not ready, adding that he communicated with them telepathically because there was not enough oxygen on earth to support them.

The report adds that his driver, his minister and his assistant were all present when the aliens made contact and rumor is that Russian president Dmitry Medvedev wants to speak directly to Ilyumzhinov. Medvedev is concerned that Russian security secrets may have been given to the aliens.

Both ABC and FoxNews have picked up on this story, giving different photo of Ilyumzhinov.

Comet, Asteroid, Or Something Else

Being called a mystery object, astronomers have found something that looks like a comet, but lives in the asteroid belt about 250 million miles from Earth.

The strange object was discovered on January 6 by the Lincoln Near-Earth Asteroid Research (LINEAR) sky survey, which is funded by the United States Air Force and NASA and located in New Mexico.

Generally, comets follow elliptical orbits that get close in to the sun and grow long gaseous and dusty tails as ices sublimate off their solid cores. Asteroids are mostly in more circular orbits and with a high density of them living between the orbits of the planets Mars and Jupiter in the asteroid belt.

Several other comet/asteroid hybrids have been reported over the years, but are still not completely understood by astronomers.

This previously unknown object may be on a high speed collision course with another object in the belt. Astronomers can see debris from previous impacts, but have never seen a collision as it happens.

Is this a new object to the belt? With Aphophis – Asteroid 2004 MN4 recently in the news, the mystery object that passed through Saturn’s F ring and the increased fireball activity in the sky, one might wonder whats coming our way.

Russians Confirm Aphophis – Asteroid 2004 MN4 Might Be A Problem

Aphophis – asteroid 2004 MN4 Is Coming This Way

In 2029, Aphophis – Asteroid 2004 MN4 will pass within 30 thousand kilometers of Earth. At over 1200 feet in diameter, Aphophis would cause some serious damage if it collides with the earth. The good news is chances of a collision in 2029 are quite slim. Bad news is that after it pass us in 2029, it will come back this direction in 2036 and some orbital models have the space rock striking Earth this time.

A top Russian scientist says they have it under control.

The head of Federal Space Agency, Anatoly Perminov, addressed Russia’s plans concerning Aphophis in an interview with the Voice of Russia radio show. He says the Russians are on the way to create a spaceship that will divert the threatening asteroid from its orbit.

This after all the fireball activity this year.

More Moscow Triangle UFO Footage

The Triangle UFO Hovering Over Moscow has gotten people pretty worked up.

Some are claiming its a hoax, playing off the recent Spiral UFO Over Norway.

It is odd that there isn’t more footage or photographs. Both the daylight and night time sightings appear to be prolonged events and you would think more photos and videos would be online if it was witnessed by others

Below is the daylight and night time video footage.
