$1,000,000 Hunt for Bigfoot July 10-14, 2010

Bigfoot Central will give you one million dollars if you photograph Bigfoot from July 10-14, 2010 in a promotion being put on in the San Juan Region of Colorado.

You’ll have 96 hours to locate and photograph a live Bigfoot within the ‘Designated Hunt Area’ of a 100 mile radius of Silverton, CO.
Check-in is on July 10th., between 7-11 AM at the Kendall Mountain Resort Complex in Silverton. The hunt begin at 12:01 PM on July 10th. and end at 12:01 PM on July 14th.

Even if you don’t win the million dollars, attend the closing party on July 14th. between 8 PM and 1 AM at the Kendall Mountain Resort Complex, with a catered Buffet Dinner, Drinks, Live Music and Dancing, and a noted Guest Speaker, Bigfoot Swag and Door Prizes.

  • March 2009- Bigfoot sighting and photographic evidence of footprints in the snow reported by a BLM Ranger 14 miles from Durango Mountain Resort on the backside of Purgurtory.
  • May 2009- Bigfoot sighting with photograph reported by a vacationing couple en-route to Silverton, CO. on Hwy. #550 that witnessed a Bigfoot crossing the highway.
  • April 2009- Bigfoot lean-to found approximately 8 miles from Silverton, CO. Structure was built from branches broken-off of trees at a height of 8’+.
  • June 2009- Bigfoot activity reported by family camping at Navajo Lake. Creature was vocalizing and tossing small stones at campsite tents.
  • August 2009- Bigfoot sighting and evidence of broke-off branches on a tree reported by an elderly couple to a U.S. Forest Service Agent who surveyed the site and confirmed footprints and broken branches. Location in La Platte Canyon at Lil Olga Campsite.
  • August 2009- Bigfoot sighting on the banks of the San Juan River at Farmington, NM reported by a BLM Ranger.
  • August 2009- Bigfoot sighting along the Animas River approximately 9 miles from Silverton, CO. Reported by Crew and Passengers on the Durango/Silverton Narrow Guage Railroad Train.

The winner will take two photos of the creature with a camera supplied by Bigfoot Central and log their location with GPS. Oh yeah and the Bigfoot must be alive.

All entries become the sole possession of Bigfoot Central, and will not be returned. Winner will be contacted via registered mail and announced on the website.

Bigfoot, or similar is defined as any bi-pedal, non-human/human that has not been classified as a bear (Black or Brown, Kodiak, Polar or Grizzly), lion (mountain, puma, cougar, panther, or others), jaguar, wild swine, wolf, coyote, wild dog, deer, elk, moose, buffalo, caribou, sheep, goat, any other indigenous or non-indigenous (Ape, monkey, lion, bear, jaguar, leopard or other) animal, or any domesticated animal (swine, bovine, canine, feline, equine, sheep, goat, llama, birds, or other).

The Promoter shall not liable for any injury, loss of life, damage, loss, expense, accident, delay, inconvenience, trespassing, illegal means of entry, or other Federal, State or local laws when obtaining the photo, or other irregularity that may be caused or contributed to obtaining a photo or photographs for submission, or if they are attacked by a Bigfoot, or any other irregularity that may be caused or contributed to obtaining a photo or photographs for submission. Please use caution when taking photographs outdoors, and in the wild.

Honestly, only $250 for running around the woods with a bunch Bigfoot nuts for 96 hours actually sounds like fun.
